The Programmes Manager is responsible for the end-to-end fulfilment and management of the three programmatic areas in Cape Town and Zwide which is at the core of the Kolisi Foundations mission. This role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and execution of our core programmes and associated projects. This is done according to the set strategic plans and budgets as well as preparing the narrative and financial reports on all programmes for stakeholders with support from respective team members. TAX JUSTICE PROJECT OFFICER | CAPE TOWN

The Alternative Information and Development Centre (AIDC) is a Cape Town based NGO, established in 1996 to support trade unions and social movements undertaking struggles for a wage-led, low-carbon development path. Our mission is to produce and promote alternative knowledge and analysis as well as to undertake popular education and trainings geared towards enabling popular movements advancing struggles for social, economic, and ecological justice to engage with the intersecting crises flowing from the natural, economic, and social changes facing humanity. Key Responsibilities •Undertake research related to taxation and domestic resource mobilisation in support of AIDC initiatives towards supporting struggles for socio-economic justice. •Produce and disseminate popular materials including opinion pieces, briefing papers, fact sheets, infographics, etc. •Develop and conduct training programmes and capacity building with strategic stakeholders. •Represent AIDC in relevant tax justice and economic justice networks and platforms, this includes participating in relevant workshops, conferences, coalitions, and stakeholder meetings on AIDCs behalf. •Engage with media and do publicity work for AIDC on tax and economic justice issues, as required. •Work closely with the Economic Justice Programme Co-ordinator and/or other Researchers to assist with the implementation of AIDC’s work aimed at supporting civil society organisations, trade unions, social movements. •Provide ad hoc assistance to the general work of AIDC, as required.

MEDICAL DOCTOR - EAST LONDON

A medical practice in East London, is looking to appoint a permanent Physician for an intial 1 year contract. The Physician would be joining a practice that only has one Physician. He has been a physician for 30 years, but it is too busy for one person, so he is requiring someone to assist with the workload and he is already fully booked until the end of July. His practice mainly specialists in diabetes and HIV and basic physician work. The Physician we are looking for does not need to be a senior as Dr and he is willing to assist him/her to work similar to him – important is someone who is compassionate and respectful to patients. Dr takes it very seriously that his patient are treated with the best care. Job description: Seeing patients in Hospital in the wards (St Dominics, Beacon Bay, East London Private Life Hospital and Royal Buffalo Hospital). Seeing walking patients while building own patient clientele. Will be required to do hospital rounds at 2 hospitals daily (and Dr’s will alternate the hospitals daily). Be on call for Emergency unit every second day (Emergency units are at St Dominics, Beacon Bay Life and at Royal Buffalo Hospital). Working every second weekend doing all hospital rounds and Emergency calls. The Dr will be seeing +/ 30 patient’s daily dependant on the hospital. Working hours are difficult to determine due to being on call so it’s not set hours. But roughly 160/180 hours a month. The Dr will be required to have Medical Protection for private practice, but we will refund the Dr or pay for it if they sign a 1-year contract (cost it 32k for insurance) Very important that the Dr always answers his phone while on call and does not switch it off at 8pm otherwise the emergency Dr’s call another physician for our regular patients. Salary R191012 Cost to company 120k take home. Ensure the relevant reports and templates are up-to-date and saved on the share drive. To collect and analyse data upon request by SCAT management.
